BE Prepared 2021: a Preparatory Programme for degree students

  • A preparatory programme to refresh your general knowledge of Mathematics, Chemistry, Statistics and/or Economics and laboratory experience
  • BEPreP will be organized in a blended fashion, with theoretical lectures pre-recorded online and practical sessions hosted at the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering Campus Coupure
  • On Campus sessions will start 8 September 2021
  • The pre-recorded online lectures for BEPREP will be available as from 16th

For whom

The course is open to all master students, PhD students or staff members that wish to follow a refresher for some fundamental science courses. The modules indicated in the table are mandatory for students starting the following Master programmes::

You are free to enroll in additional modules if you wish and if your programme specific schedule allows it.

Why

This programme is highly recommended as it will help you to successfully complete a Master of Science programme at the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering. It will give you a first taste and insight on Belgian academic class and exam culture, so that you can start this new endeavor completely prepared!
It is also the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with your fellow students at the faculty. It offers you the time and space to settle in Ghent, finish all the administrative burdens and get to know your new surroundings.

Participants who successfully complete the programme will receive a certificate.

Programme

The programme starts Monday September 6th.

The preparatory course consists of the following programme items:

  • Workshops: ICT skills and laboratory skills.
  • Social and cultural programme
  • Several information sessions are organized to integrate yourself more easily at the faculty, Ghent University, City of Ghent and in Belgium in general.

For students starting a master programme at the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering:

  • fill in the BEPREP section on the EConsort “my application 2021” form
