Simon Verschaeve

Short Bio

Simon is a part-time researcher for the research group Law & Technology at Ghent University.
He is affiliated with the department of Interdisciplinary Study of Law, Private Law and Business Law.
Simon is working on the interdisciplinary FWO research project: SCAFFOLD - ePortfolios to Scaffold Workplace Learning in Health Education (2020-2024). His research focusses on the legal and ethical implications of e-Portfolio implementation in workplace learning settings.

Simon holds a Master of Laws Degree (magna cum laude) from Ghent University. He graduated in 2019 with a thesis on ‘sharenting’ in Belgium. He is pursuing an LLM in Intellectual Property & ICT Law at the KU Leuven. Previously, he completed internships at law firms DLA Piper, Stibbe and Eubelius, dealing with IP, IT and data protection law matters.
